About Sencha Teahouse

Sencha Teahouse is an online retail shop that provides premium Japanese green tea and Tibetan Sorig (Medicinal) Herbal Tisanes. Our mission is to provide products that most people will not find in the “normal” outlets, grocery & health food stores. Our Japanese green tea is grown by a 75-year-old farm in the Shizuoka region of Japan on the south side of Mt. Fuji. This farm supplies tea to a variety of outlets in Japan but we are their only outlet in North America. We chose this farm because of their commitment to quality of product and packaging to ensure freshness.

Our Tibetan Sorig Herbal Tisanes (blends) are created by Men-Tsee-Khang, Tibetan Medical & Astrological Institute of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. We would like to encourage everyone to learn about the plight of the Tibetan community and to support His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people in recovering their homeland from the Chinese Authority. Sorig products are not meant to replace your current medication, so please do not ignore your western or eastern doctor’s advice. We encourage everyone to find a balance between natural and synthetic prescriptions and advice.

Sencha Teahouse was created by Lawrell Studstill in 2004 as a result of his love for Japanese green tea and Tibetan Sorig products.
